Prof. Dr. Theo Notteboom (Associate Professor at ITMMA) and Drs. Filip Merckx (Research Assistant at the University of Antwerp) attended this conference and presented the following papers:
- 'Spatial models of waterfront redevelopment: the tension between city and port revisited' (authors: Filip Merckx, Theo Notteboom, Willy Winkelmans),
- Agent-based simulation of stakeholders relations: An approach to sustainable port and terminal management' (authors: Lawrence E. Henesey, Theo Notteboom, Paul Davidson),
- 'Decomposition analysis of the Gini coefficient: an application to multi-range container port systems' (author: Theo Notteboom),
- 'Developments in Container Port Competition in East Asia' (authors: Yap Wei Yim, Jasmine Lam, Theo Notteboom).
Next to the presentation of 4 papers, Prof. Dr. Theo Notteboom also chaired a session on 'Logistics issues in Shipping and Ports' on the 5th of September.
