Ahlers is a logistic and maritime service provider operating in Europe, Asia and CIS/Baltic. Ahlers' core activities are forwarding, warehousing, liner agency and marine consultancy. Ahlers offers its clients one-stop shopping tailor-made solutions for all their logistic and maritime service requirements in niche markets through a network of own offices in some 35 cities across Europe, Asia and CIS/Baltic.

In order to further develop ties between Europe and Asia and CIS/Baltic in logistic and maritime matters, Ahlers is co-sponsor or ITMMA, through the financial support for one MTMM student by means of the Ahlers Award.

Conditions:

The applicant/student has to present a thesis (or thesis project) on a logistic issue (title/subject to be defined in consultation with Ahlers).

'Distinction' or 'cum laude' for the entire MTMM programme is a must.

A mixed jury (2 professors of ITMMA, 2 members of the Ahlers Management, 2 external jury members) will judge and decide.

The 'Ahlers Award' is granted during the Graduation Ceremony in May to a student who completed all courses and the thesis in that specific academic year. Students who submit their thesis in the second session (September) and as such did not graduate in May are not eligible for the 'Ahlers Award'.
